For stretching with an eye toward building strength at the same time, we'll incorporate YOGA.  This is a forte of mine as my method of teaching yoga is such that no matter if you are 80 years old and don't know yoga from yogurt, you can still do it!  Whether it be a lighter, slower form or a faster, more powered yoga, from beginning to advanced, you'll get your yoga groove on!  Yoga conditions the body INSIDE & OUT in a way like no other.  I'm confident that once you've tried it, you'll be a lifelong fan.

I teach a unique blend of Hatha and Kundalini yoga.  The asanas are presented in a smoothly flowing order.  Whether it be a group setting or a one-on-one, the yoga lessons are custom-tailored for ANY AGE, ANY LEVEL.  Couples, pre-natal or post-natal yoga are also offered.

 

STRAIGHT STRETCH

I believe stretching to be underrated and overlooked.  As we age, we are weighed down by gravity.  No matter what workout we settle on for you, you WILL be stretching.  However, if you need to take it a step further (as 99% of us do), occasionally we'll want to have a HANDS-ON STRETCHING ONLY session.  This is a series of static stretches which I facilitate.  We leave no muscle unturned!

 

PILATES
To stretch the body AND strengthen, stabilize and utilize the core of the body . . . Mat Pilates anyone?   I think of Pilates as stretching meets yoga meets an abs class.  Not only do you lengthen the body by stretching, but you strengthen THE CORE by isolating, concentrating on and using it to perform the exercises.
